Terence Crawford denies taking steroids after calling out Canelo

Terence Crawford denied taking performance enhancing drugs after calling for a massive Pay Per View fight with Canelo Alvarez.

“Bud” made his admission on Canelo before facing a barrage from some detractors about steroids. The accusations mainly stem from his association with Victor Conte.

However, after serving his sentence stemming from the Balco situation, Conte has never been suspected of wrongdoing. But a new Netflix drama on Conte has seemingly stirred up trouble for his current SNAC roster.

Terence Crawford denies steroid abuse

Crawford and Devin Haney have come under fire despite the fact neither has ever tested positive for any banned substance.

Following his career-defining win over Errol Spence Jr. last month, Crawford believes his haters are merely looking for a reason to doubt his achievements.

“You all be so mad at me and don’t even know why, but I do, though,” said the Pound for Pound king. “Now I’m juicing,” he added with a laughing emoji.

“I’ve done heard it all. I can’t just be great. They can text me any year long and will never come close to seeing anything illegal in my body.

“I love it! You are all my motivation,” concluded Crawford. “Keep motivating [because] you are all part of the success story.”

Canelo target

Before the unfounded allegations were thrown at him, Crawford indicated his intentions to see how the Canelo vs Jermell Charlo fight would play out on September 30.

Only then will the Omaha man be ready to decide who he faces next. Spence has invoked a rematch clause in the contract. However, if Canelo comes to the table, Crawford would have a big enough pot to pay Spence to wait.

Crawford is adamant that’s the event he wants, if it can be made in the coming weeks.

“Canelo vs Crawford is the biggest fight in boxing. There’s no fighter out there that’s a bigger fight than us,” he stated.

Crawford is still fending off online abuse despite his amazing win over Spence, which vindicated his place at the top of the WBN P4P Rankings.

“Here we go with the I haven’t fought anybody but Spence talk. You all [are] so delusional it’s crazy.

“Haters don’t even know why they hate at times. It becomes so natural to them that they can’t even see or notice it,” added the two-weight undisputed champion.
