Deontay Wilder sent out an SOS to heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua as reports the pair are back in talks gain momentum in the boxing community.
While filming for his Peacock Reality TV show “The Traitors,” Wilder took time to convince Anthony Joshua not to avoid him.
Joshua is looking to return to the ring before the end of the year to cap a busy 2023 with three victories. Wilder, on the other hand, has been out since October 2022.
But as doubts crept in and Wilder’s trainer eluded to reopening talks with Andy Ruiz Jr. or contacting Zhilei Zhang’s team, “The Bronze Bomber” clarified his feelings.

“I wanted to address a fight everyone is looking forward to and hope it happens. I’m doing everything in my power to make it happen,” said Wilder.
“I’m talking about the Joshua fight. So, Anthony, I’m giving you it from my mouth. Here, personally from the horse’s mouth himself. I’m here, and I’m ready. I’m ready to go.
“I heard some things about what your promoters said that my last fight only lasted a short period of time that I ain’t fought in a year. And you don’t know if I want to fight or not. But I’m letting you know, right now, I’m here. I’m ready to fly. I’m ready to get in that ring.
“Man, let’s make this the best time of our lives. This would be a major disaster if we would never be able to get in the ring and put our stamp down in each street row.
“When people would think about classic and great fights. I want them to think about us as well. Being able to do that, we have got to get in the ring.
Is Joshua ready to fight Wilder?
“That’s just what it’s all about, you know. The silliest thing I’ve heard is people saying that you’re not ready, and that’s the silliest thing because I don’t believe that.
“I believe you’re ready, and I hope you’re ready. I think you’re ready. Let’s make this happen. Make the history happen.”
In addition, Wilder stated: “The time is now! – I don’t understand the process of fighting so many others before me. Maybe it’s none of my business to understand, but understand you must overcome your fears.
“Fear will allow many to miss out on displaying their true greatness.
“Do what you got to do, but help me keep my word to my fans that 2024 is going to be electrifying. It’s about time to get this party back started, don’t you agree?”
