Terence Crawford bans two major rivals from undisputed title shot

Terence Crawford has hit back at his rival welterweights after being called out because of his undisputed success against Errol Spence Jr.

“Bud” is livid with the response to his victory over Spence, a triumph that spawned 675,000 Pay Per View buys. Crawford says all the fighters he offered terms to before he beat Spence are now turning the tables and putting their money where their mouths are.

According to the Omaha man, this wasn’t the case before he battered Spence into submission. Crawford has gone so far as to ban two of his major rivals from ever fighting for a title while he holds all the straps.

“My my, how the tables have turned. Danny Garcia, you and Keith Thurman will never get a shot at the top dog, and that’s me. You all didn’t want no smoke when I wanted to fight, remember?

“Now you all want to fight so bad. Go keep fighting each other like before.”

Why didn’t Terence Crawford face PBC fighters?

Crawford’s claims reveal he felt left out as Premier Boxing Champions kept the majority of title bouts in-house. Al Haymon monopolized the championships back then, leaving Crawford to scrap his way to the WBO crown.

“It’s funny how all these fighters want to fight now. Back then, all they could say was I haven’t fought anybody. Now they are begging, looking for a check. You can’t make this up.

“All these fighters that were claiming to be their own bosses. But they were hiding behind the term “call Al [Haymon].” Now they are talking like they can fight whoever they want.

“Boy, you all are some pawns. Go sit down.”

On how he was placed on the outside looking in, Crawford concluded: “You all [PBC] created a whole term “he on the wrong side of the street.”

“When in boxing, have you ever heard some s*** like that till I moved up?

“[They] Did me dirty. They had all these people that don’t know anything about boxing, all trying to discredit my accomplishments. He hasn’t fought anybody. Lies. But not one wanted to be that so-called somebody, tho.

They say the cream always rises to the top. It looks like I’m the last man standing. I know you all are mad about it, but it’s not my plan. This is God’s plan.”

Thurman later responded in an interview with FightHype.com by attempting to goad Crawford into a fight.

“You didn’t beat up a real champion. I don’t think that version of Errol Spence would beat Shawn Porter,” said Thurman.

“You didn’t beat up a real champion. Everybody knows Keith Thurman wipes that Spence. He gets wiped by many people.”
