Tyson Fury tumbles down the Pound for Pound Rankings

Tyson Fury has fallen out of the top twenty as World Boxing News reveals the new Boxing Pound for Pound Rankings for September 2023.

The former top-ten contender hasn’t done enough over the last two years to justify a place among the very best in the sport.

His talent’s not disputed, but the “Gypsy King” defeating Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora before facing non-boxer Francis Ngannou leaves much to be desired.

And after a quiet few weeks for the top fighters, little movement is evident in the current list.

Only one of the top five has fought since the last update that saw Terence Crawford overtake Oleksandr Usyk and Naoya Inoue to take the crown.

Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois at a canter. However, the result wasn’t enough for the unified heavyweight ruler to push any further up the ratings.
