The stage is set for this weekend’s huge event featuring two of the top heavyweights in the world – Wilder v Fury.
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury battle it out to see who is the number one fighter in the division.
Whoever takes the spoils walks away from The Staples Center with the coveted WBC title and sets up a future undisputed collision with Anthony Joshua in late 2019 or Early 2020.
So who is on the undercard?
Two world title fights co-feature prior to the main event as Jarrett Hurd defends his super-welterweight title. In the second, the vacant IBF minimumweight strap is on the line.
Hurd faces Englishman Jason Welborn, a former British champion at the higher middleweight limit.
Whilst unbeaten boxers Mark Barriga and Carlos Licona duke it out for the red belt at 105.
Further action sees a trio of eye-catching heavyweight contests on the California bill.
Wilder’s most recent challenger Luis Ortiz comes up against Travis Kauffman, Joe Joyce takes on Joe Hanks and Chris Arreola returns to action.
Arreola’s opponent is Maurenzo Smith as another of Wilder’s championship victims plots another route to the top.
Frank Warren brings two of his fighters over from the UK for a showcase.
Anthony Yarde and Isaac Lowe are excited to be part of the card, whilst ex-interim and full world title holders Robert Guerrero and Alfredo Angulo add some big event experience to the show.
Julian Williams v Francisco Castro was recently confirmed to bolster the list, which includes Jesse Rodriguez v Alex Vegas at super-bantamweight.
Finally, and in one of the most interesting additions, Wilder’s brother Marsellos makes up the thirteen-strong presentation.
A cruiserweight, Wilder embarked on a pugilistic career with two quick stoppages in 2018.
