Ganigan Lopez to defend WBC crown against Jonathan Taconing

Ganigan, who won the coveted green and gold belt from Japan’s Yu Kimura, will make his first defense of his 108 pounds belt when he faces Taconing, who gave a great impression in Mexico defeating former world champion, Ramón “Príncipe” Garcia, in an eliminatory match.

The Philippine is a seasoned southpaw. He has a record of 22 victories, 18 KO´s and 2 defeats. He is the current OPBF Champion and he has 9 victories in a row since he was defeated by Thai, Komapayak Porpramook, on his only title bout, up to now.

Ganigan has 27 victories with 17 KO´s and 6 losses. He too is a Southpaw.
