Frank Warren no longer working with Dereck Chisora

Chisora, 31, recorded a second win in succession in September to get his career back on track following indifferent form, although will now be seemingly hooking up with a new promoter going forward.

“Queensberry Promotions will no longer be promoting or working with Dereck Chisora,” read the release, which sees Chisora moving on from his long-standing relationship with Warren and his team.

Defeat to Tyson Fury in 2014, a second stoppage loss for ‘Del Boy’ on the back of a fifth round knockout defeat to David Haye in 2012, knocked Chisora from the current crop of top name heavyweights, although a position as European mandatory contender remains for the fighter.

A clash against the winner of the upcoming December bout between EBU title holder Erkan Teper and Robert Helenius is lined up for Chisora in 2016, along with possible all-UK encounters with rivals David Price and Anthony Joshua.

At the height of his powers in 2011-12, Chisora took on Helenius and Vitali Klitschko in title clashes, and despite coming out with decision losses on both occasions, his performances earned a career-best pay-day against Haye following a high-profile brawl in Munich.

Haye’s crushing victory at West Ham’s Upton Park stadium took a lot out of Chisora though and its debatable whether the Finchley man has ever been the same since.
