WBN P4P Top 50 (June 2014): Miguel Cotto makes big move

The Puerto Rican, who was previously at number 15,  hit three on the new list for June 2014 due to his past achievements and the manner of his win over the Argentinian, who himself was ranked at seven before his unraveling against Cotto.

Martinez, 39, drops to 26 with the loss and will need a big win or two ever to get close to the top ten again, although his injuries make it an unlikely scenario for the one-time middleweight king.

Juan Carlos Reveco, Jamie McDonnell, and Juergen Braehmer are the new entries for this month on the back of their respective victories in WBA title fights.

Floyd Mayweather remains the number one he has been for the past two years, whilst Manny Pacquiao keeps the number two spot.

WBA super-middleweight champion Andre Ward has now slipped to seven due to inactivity, whilst Robert Guerrero drops out of the Top 50 completely. ‘The Ghost’ will almost certainly re-enter the ratings if he returns to winning ways later this month.
