UK heavyweight Dillian Whyte holds hand up after two-year ban

Whyte, 24, was sanctioned by the UK Anti-Doping Agency and the British Boxing Board of Control when the stimulant Methylhexaneamine was found in his system late last year.

The 9-0 fighter, who has six stoppages on his record, was in apologetic mood on hearing of the ruling and has vowed to return to the ring once he serves his punishment, which runs to October 2014.

“I’ll be back soon,” said Whyte. “I made an honest mistake and I hold my hands up. I have also learned a lot too.”
