In a battle of undefeated fighters, reigning IBF Youth Light Flyweight champion Regie Suganob will face Andika D’Golden Boy of Indonesia in the “Kumong Bol-anon VII” Boxing Card Friday, September 9 at the Dimiao Gymnasium in Bohol, Philippines.
Currently ranked no. 6 by the IBF in the 108-lb. division, Suganob holds an unblemish record of 11-0 with 4 wins coming by knockout. Suganob is fresh from a first round knockout victory against Indonesian Asyer Aluman on July 23, and he is now looking forward for a more difficult battle against another Indonesian.
“This will be a huge challenge for me, but I will do my best to win this fight” said the 24-year old Suganob in a chat message to Rey Pocot of SportsTime Philippines.
Andika D’Golden Boy of Desa Ledeae, Indonesia is 19-0 as a pro and 10 of his wins came via knockout. He is currently ranked no.1 by the WBA-Asia in the Light Flyweight Division and his fight with Suganob will be his first outside of Indonesia.
The 26-year old Indonesian also holds decision victories against Filipinos Romshane Sarguilla and Richard Rosales. Andika is the former Indonesia Professional Boxing Commission Light Flyweight champion and WBA-Asia Light Flyweight champion.
The Suganob vs Andika encounter is just one of the exciting fights in the Kumong Bol-anon VII boxing card.
In the main event, Virgel “Valiente” Vitor(18-2-11KOs) will face Arnon Yupang(9-2-3KOs) of Thailand for the WBO Oriental Super Featherweight championship.
