Amir Khan will finish up camp with Joe Goossen following an illness suffered by regular trainer Virgil Hunter.
A statement released late last week outlined a health scare involving Hunter who needs time to recover.
“Trainer Virgil Hunter experienced a health scare this week and was hospitalized,” read the official statement.
“We are happy to report that he is recovering and getting stronger every day.
“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and request that his privacy be respected while he recovers.
“There will not be any further statements made at this time as we allow him to heal.”
Khan is set to face Phil Lo Greco in his comeback from a two-year absence in what doubles up as his debut under Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn.
A win for Khan could mean a future meeting with arch-rival Kell Brook as the former welterweight champion managed to get back to winning ways himself against Sergey Rabchenko recently.
