Sulaiman says Canelo v Golovkin just simmering, fight will happen

World Boxing Council President, Mauricio Sulaiman, knows that the fight between WBC middleweight champion, Saul Alvarez, and WBC interim middleweight champion, will happen, somewhere down the line.

The WBC President thinks that all the comments, anticipation and speculation, only tend to increase the heat of the clash, as is always the case when great bouts are close to the cusp.

“The fights are simmered, heated and broiled in various ways. It took some time to realize Chavez-Camacho….6 years! Mayweather-Pacquiao six, ”Canelo”-Cotto 2 years,” he commented.

“The fight between Saul and Gennady is natural. They know each other and have talked directly. They already want to get inside the ring to fight. They both want the fight. We don’t speculate with comments of thirds as the WBC is guided only by facts. The idea and the plan is to have the expected fight after their voluntary defenses in April or May.”
