Work has been going on behind the scenes for some time now and Fury, along with undefeated heavyweights, son Hughie and nephew Tyson, are ready for the grand unveiling next month.
“It’s about giving young kids a start,” Coach Fury explained to World Boxing News.
“As well as being a permanent amateur boxing gym with professional ABA coaches, it will also function as a community centre for the youngsters.
“The basement will serve as a weight training area, with the boxing gym on the first floor and then living quarters above for sparring partners and our fighters.
“We are really excited about getting the Team Fury Gym up and running as it’s been a lot of hard work in the making.”
The gym is situated on Halliwell Road in Bolton, BL1 and all are welcome down on Wednesday, 14th May for the grand opening. Various members of the boxing community and the media will be in attendance on the day.
