Daniel Dubois has laughed off Nathan Gorman’s sparring claims ahead of the pair’s domestic duel in the former’s backyard of South London.
The duo were familiar foes during their Team GB days and slug it out at London’s O2 Arena for the prestige Lonsdale belt on July 13.
However, despite Gorman suggesting he won every round against him behind closed doors, Dubois has promised to dominate in every department.
He said: “Whatever he (Gorman) has to say or thinks happened in the past when we sparred has no bearing on this and I can’t wait to show what I can do.
“It is completely irrelevant and I have changed a lot as a professional. It has allowed me to breathe as a fighter and understand more about boxing.
“I have got experience now and from the day I started boxing being heavyweight champion of the world was always on my mind.
“I have the advantage over Nathan in speed and power which plays a massive advantage but there is a lot more to me as well.”

The Greenwich heavy-hitter, 21, who recently hit the pads with heavyweight legend Frank Bruno, believes bigger fights and opportunities are just around the corner.
‘DDD’ has been linked to a future showdown with another former Team GB star in 2016 Olympian Joe Joyce – who is also promoted by Frank Warren.
“I can match any of the fastest heavyweights out there and I am just ready for a fight.
“This fight will add recognition to my name and I can move on. The big goals are within my reach and I’m really excited.
Talking about Anthony Joshua’s shock defeat, Dubois added: “I didn’t pay too much attention to Joshua v Ruiz due to the fact I thought it was a formality for Joshua.”
Dubois v Gorman is live on BT Sport this coming July 13.
