Dennis Ceylan injured, Feb 6 Nordic Fight Night card called off

Ceylan is now undergoing surgery on his injured left hand and will be out of the ring until the summer. ‘’Obviously, I’m disappointed,’’ said the 26 year-old. ‘’I was looking forward to fighting in front of my home fans at the Ceres Arena, but it wasn’t meant to be. It sucks, but after the operation, I will come back stronger, and I hope to have a big fight in Aarhus before the end of the year.’’

‘’It is with regret that we’ve had to postpone the first Nordic Fight Night of the New Year,’’ said promoter Nisse Sauerland. ‘’We apologise to all the fans who had already purchased tickets, but unfortunately, this is boxing, and injuries are not uncommon. On behalf of everyone at Team Sauerland, I would like to wish Dennis a speedy recovery.’’

Micki Nielsen was scheduled to face former World Champion Giacobbe Fragomeni in a defence of his WBC International title. A new date and venue for their cruiserweight clash will be announced shortly.

‘’This will be a big up step for Micki,’’ said Sauerland. ‘’Fragomeni is a World-class opponent who has fought many of best fighters of his generation, and is a former World Champion, but we believe Micki is ready, and by beating Fragomeni, he will prove that’s he’s able to compete at elite level.”

Fans who have already bought tickets for the Nordic Fight Night on February 6 should contact Billetlugen in order to receive a refund.
