Exclusive: Police say no further action against Tyson Fury

The 27 year-old was under scrutiny following a complaint made by an un-named man, who was interviewed by Police this week on the back of a media storm.

After going through the relative procedures which were completed on Thursday, the GMP have released their findings in the matter.

“At 10.30am on Tuesday 8 December 2015, Greater Manchester Police received a complaint from a member of the public following comments that had been made on a national broadcast,” a Police spokesperson exclusively told World Boxing News.

“Officers spoke with the man that made the report and he provided a statement to police. This matter has been investigated in line with national hate crime policy and has been recorded as a hate incident.

“The circumstances in which these comments were made suggest that no criminal offence has taken place and this matter will not be investigated any further.”

A British Boxing Board of Control hearing has been scheduled for the New Year where the outspoken Fury is expected to expand on his comments made in an interview with a national UK newspaper and repeated again on air.
