In an initial story run by celebrity news source TMZ.com, two-weight world champion Mayweather, 37, is said to have been on a FaceTime call with Stephanie Moseley when Earl Hayes shot his wife before then taking his own life in a row over her fidelity.
Los Angeles authorities responded to call from Palazzo East apartments when residents reported hearing up to ten gunshots – where the bodies of Hayes and Moseley were ultimately found in a gruesome discovery.
TMZ have confirmed via ‘a source’ that Mayweather has admitted to ‘hearing everything’ from the incident whilst speaking to Moseley and is now a being treated as a witness to the murder/suicide of the young couple.
Hayes, who was once signed to Mayweather’s record label, had apparently been talking to Mayweather about concerns that his spouse had been unfaithful and was acting irrationally as the fighter attempted to calm him down.
Whilst Mayweather was then engaging with Moseley, Hayes is said to have opened fire and killed the actress, who was a star of the popular Twilight Saga movies, before ending his own life in what is a shocking turn of events.
Mayweather has not directly commented on what he saw or heard take place during the incident, but did retweet a post by his estranged friend 50 Cent, who acknowledged the death of Hayes via his Instagram and Twitter accounts.
