Scott: I need an ice pack and ibuprofen, Chisora is a tough guy!

Scott, 32, was counted out by referee Phil Edwards in the sixth round of what was a very competitive contest, whilst undoubtedly ahead on the scorecards, even though he rose to his feet without the official reaching the count of ten.

After originally looking bemused at the fights ending, Philadelphia’s Scott then accepted the decision gracefully in the aftermath, but still holds out hope of securing a rematch with former world title challenger Chisora in the near future.

“Congratulations to my opponent Dereck Chisora and his trainer Don Charles on their victory over me,” said Scott.

“(He’s a) tough guy (and a ) good fighter. Hopefully we can do it again. I wish them the best.

“Now I need a ice pack and about three ibuprofens for the war wounds,” he added.

29 year-old Chisora has targeted a rematch with semi-retired WBC king Vitali Klitschko on the back of his biggest career success, although is currently way behind mandatory challenger Bermane Stiverne and matched-up UK rivals David Haye and Tyson Fury in the pecking order.
