Kubrat Pulev has been suspended by the California State Athletic Commission for a further two months following a hearing into his kissing of a reporter.

Jenny ‘Sushe’ Ravalo stated Pulev unexpectedly pulled her face before smooching her before grabbing her buttocks off-camera after an interview.

Seeking substantial damages, Ravalo cried as she gave testimony regarding the incident after Pulev’s win over Bogdan Dinu.

Pulev was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and attend a sexual harassment awareness course into the bargain. When completed, Pulev will once again be allowed to fight in the State of California.

In his defense, Pulev’s team argued that Ravalo did not complain about the Bulgarian’s actions and spent most of the night partying with him.

At one point, Ravalo was seen straddling a member of Pulev’s entourage hours after the incident.

Regardless, Pulev’s actions were ratified as unwanted attention, leading to the three-pronged punishment.

Ravalo hired top American women’s rights lawyer Gloria Allred for the case, which can be claimed as a small victory for the Las Vegas native.

Reports Ravalo was seeking a six-figure sum from Pulev had been aired prior to the CSAC ruling, although would have to be sought in another manner if still the case.

In a further twist, Pulev’s famous girlfriend Andrea had been sending abusive messages to Ravalo since the incident.

Mike Dixon of the Las Vegas Sports Daily revealed messages send by Andra to Ravalo in the aftermath.

Andrea reportedly called Ravalo unsavory names via Instagram direct messages.

JOSHUA

With the punishments handed down, the boxer can move on an plan the next phase of his career. That step is likely to be one more fight before a heavyweight title shot at Anthony Joshua.

Mandatory challenger with the IBF, Pulev is in line to face Joshua by the end of the year.

Andy Ruiz Jr. battles Joshua next. Pulev may well have been in the opposite corner had the Sushe events not transpired.

Jarrell Miller was ruled out after failing a drugs test, leading to ‘AJ’ attempting to find an alternative opponent.

Before securing Ruiz, Pulev would have been one of the names considered if the CSAC had not suspended him.

An announcement on Pulev’s future is expected from promoter Bob Arum soon.
