Goulamirian, Murat take straps with late KOs

At the Palais des Sports in Marseille, the vacant WBA cruiserweight title was picked up by Arsen Goulamirian via an eleventh-round stoppage of Ryad Merhy.

The bout was halted less than a minute into the session, with Goulamirian ultimately proving the stronger to claim the strap previously owned by Denis Lebedev.

Also on the bill, Michel Soro took the interim WBA super welterweight title with a unanimous decision victory over John Vera.

Earlier in the evening, Abel Sanchez-trained Louis Toution pushed to 10-0 with a third-round stoppage of the experienced Bernard Donfack.

Over in Germany, Karo Murat piled on the pressure late on to claim the vacant IBO light heavyweight title with a final-round win over Travis Reeves.

In the co-feature, WBA super middleweight champion Tyron Zeuge remains so following a crushing second-round victory over Isaac Ekpo in their mandated rematch.

In Krasnodar, Russia, super middleweight Andrey Sirotkin carded a close decision against Ryan Ford. Featherweight David Agadzhanyan defeated Goodluck Mrema over ten rounds.

Returning from a long absence on the card to pick up the vacant Russian welterweight title, undefeated Konstantin Ponomarev pushed to 33-0 with a points win over Pavel Mamontov.

Finally, in Mexico, women’s WBA minimumweight champion Anabel Ortiz retained her strap with a unanimous victory over Debora Rengifo.
