No Vargas return as Salido faces Roman in Las Vegas war on Dec 9
A keenly anticipated combat, reaching millions through HBO on December 9 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada is between veteran power puncher Orlando ‘Siri’ Salido and slugfest specialist Miguel ‘Mickey’ Román.
Both contenders are top contenders in the WBC super featherweight division. Salido was slated to face the world champion Miguel Berchelt, who suffered an injury and had to cancel what would have been his second defense.
Salido commented about Berchelt’s injury, wishing Miguel a speedy recovery to be able to face him very soon.
“They already know me I am a fighter who always puts on a great show, giving absolutely everything from beginning to end. This fight now is pure Mexican style and it will be great!”
Mickey is represented by Promociones del Pueblo, is described as a tough fighter facing the very best, and this encounter will be a complicated battle.
Says Mickey: “I’m very hungry for victory. The biggest winner here is going to be the public because this is war!”
