Juanma Lopez signs promotional deal ahead of Jayson Velez clash
The former double World Champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez (35-5, 32KO’s) came to a promotional agreement with Empire Boxing Promotions en route to his bout on Saturday, September 30th at the Coliseo Rafael G. Amalbert of Juncos, Puerto Rico.
Lopez will clash against Jayson “La Maravilla” Velez (25-4-1, 17KO’s) for the International Championship (130 lbs) of the World Boxing Council (WBC).
“Both myself, as my partner Jose ‘Pepe’ Llama, we are very pleased to have been able to add to our family to a great figure of Puerto Rican and boxing world as it is Juanma Lopez,” the President of Empire Boxing Promotions, Manuel ‘Quique said.
Roman, who managed to close an economic agreement with Black Tiger Promotions to acquire the contract Lopez. “My relationship with Juanma is one of more than 10 years. Lopez, who ruled in divisions at (122 pounds) and (126 lbs), is confident that this new agreement can touch the top of the division.

Last October, Lopez ended a two – year inactivity, destroying eleven episodes former world champion Wilfredo Vázquez, Jr. in action held at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
