Malignaggi had left McGregor’s camp under a cloud following the release of pictures showing the UFC star apparantely dominating the Italian-American, although Dana White’s clips do little to doubt it.
McGregor is seen tagging solidly Malignaggi on a couple of occassions but clearly don’t tell the whole story about their pair of sparring sessions.
The ‘push’ stated by Malignaggi, which led to the knockdown, was on the top of the head rather than a punch, but without seeing the round unfold previously it’s tough to fathom the situation.
