Floyd Mayweather sensationally reveals he’s working on Conor McGregor fight: I offered $15m, let’s make it happen!

The 39 year-old stands just one win away from overhauling heavyweight great Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 record after retiring in September 2015 following a drab win against welterweight rival Andre Berto.

Months of rumors about McGregor, openly instigated by Mayweather, were denied time and again by the ‘Money’ Man, who now says a firm offer was made to the Irishman for them to share a boxing ring.

“Conor McGregor keeps telling everybody he wants the fight. Let’s make it happen,” Mayweather told ESPN’s First Take.

“We tried to make the McGregor fight. My number was a guaranteed $100million. We offered him $15m.

“We’re the A-side and I don’t know how much he has made but I’m pretty sure he hasn’t made $2m in an MMA bout.

“We can talk about splitting the PPV but we are the A-side. How can a guy talk about $20m or $30m if he’s not made eight or nine?

“Is the fight going to happen? We’re working on it,” he added.

McGregor is currently enjoying some time away from the spotlight as he prepares to become a father for the first time but has made it clear he wants the same amount as Mayweather ($100m) in order to sign for the clash.

‘The Notorious’ recently unified two UFC divisions, becoming the first fighter ever to do so, and is by far and away the biggest name on Dana White’s roster – along with being the most outspoken.
