Another UFC fighter calls out Floyd Mayweather, wants ‘chicken’ Conor McGregor to step-up

The 28 year-old battered Michael Johnson at UFC 205 on November 12 to cement his place as the number one contender to Conor McGregor and the solid Russian now wants his shot at the title.

As McGregor continues to call out ex-pound for pound king Mayweather for a crossover fight, the situation is clearly annoying Nurmagomedov who has given both a piece of his mind via social media.

Previously, undefeated Nurmagomedov, who has won all 24 of his bouts in Mixed Martial Arts, had hinted he would break his contract with UFC boss Dana White if he is not picked as the next foe for McGregor.

“I want to fight for UFC title for respect, but if I don’t get my title shot next I have a different plan and I won’t be fighting in UFC,” he said.

“UFC been very good to me (and) this not a threat. I got into this sport for the belt (and it’s) nothing personal,” added the formidable fighter.

McGregor may take some time out from competing after releasing news that he is to become a father next year, although holding to championships in separate weight divisions simultaneously may not allow him that luxury.
