GGG, Eubank exchange words ahead of possible agreement

The middleweight king’s words were simply ‘I’m ready, who’s next?’- as Golovkin heads for a massive UK showdown with the British champion in September, potentially at a football stadium in England.

Eubank replied back with: ‘You’re not ready for what’s coming. Sign the contract and we’ll find out.’ – adding even more hope that a deal is imminent.

‘GGG’ has dominated the 160 pound ranks in recent times, whilst craving a huge clash against a big name opponent, and with Eubank carrying a name already known worldwide, the Kazakh is looking no further in his quest.

Golovkin v Eubank Jr. is close to reality, according to Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, and gives the British fans the opportunity to see one of the best, if not the best, pound for pound fighter in the world live in the flesh.

Confidence is high on both sides that the clash can come together this week and see a blockbuster Sky Sports Box Office / HBO pay-per-view event go some way to quelling the disappointment of the Canelo bout falling apart.

Hearn will be aiming to add some top quality contests to the GGG v Eubank bill in order to justify the £16.95 fee, and has plenty of world champions in his stable to choose from to make the show another memorable one.
