Kellie Maloney’s ‘First Date’ axed from TV as man felt ‘uncomfortable’

The 63 year-old, who once managed the careers of heavyweights Lennox Lewis and David Price, was due to feature on one of four episodes of the popular dating series to be televised in the near future.

Maloney’s male date complained about their time together being shown and has since won the right to have the footage axed from the new series.

Channel 4 boss said the following on the matter: “Kellie’s date told the production team he was open to being paired with a transgender person, however after the date ended he felt uncomfortable about appearing on the celebrity episode.

“Duty of care to all contributors is of paramount importance to the First Dates team and after due consideration of the concerns he had raised, the decision was made not to include this date.”

The likes of TV presenter Esther Rantzen , TOWIE star Jess Wright, Paralympian Will Bailey and Gogglebox coach potato Scarlett Moffatt are all scheduled to appear on the upcoming series, alongside 20 episodes of the usual offering featuring non-celebrities.
