Coldwell: Huge mistake should Eubank Jr. dismiss Doran challenge

After a chaotic week that saw him return David Price to winning ways and Tony Bellew winning the Cruiserweight world title, Dave Coldwell sports his manager’s cap once again as he drives focus to Tom Doran’s upcoming British title shot against Chris Eubank Jnr.

Coldwell has delivered impeccably for his North Wales charge thus far and he’s looking forward to seeing Doran attempt to upset the odds at the 02 Arena in London on June 25th.

“It’s a fight that we had to take because it’s a fantastic opportunity,” buzzed Coldwell. “Tom has got himself into the position to challenge for the Lonsdale belt so there was no way he wasn’t going to take such a challenge because he’s a very serious competitor and this is a fight that has really got his eye on the ball and he’s itching to get in the ring. He knows he’s taking a huge leap in class but he’s been in this position before and he’s got to try and repeat that form and do the best to make the most of this brilliant shot.”

Coldwell added, “It’s good to be working alongside Eddie Hearn and Matchroom again and this show is a huge platform for Tom to really make a name for himself and become British champion.

“Eubank has made a lot of noise with some excellent performances and he’ll more than likely have one eye on more bigger names than Tom but it’d be a huge mistake to dismiss him. He’s a determined dangerous fighter who can turn a fight at any moment with his power. I’m really looking forward to this one.”
