Tyson Fury will face Wladimir Klitschko for the second time on home soil at Manchester Arena on July 9, trainer and uncle Peter has confirmed.

The fight has been months in the making. Fury basked in the glory of his stunning victory over Klitschko in Germany last November. However, a rematch clause was always going to be adhered to.

Fury, 27, had been hoping to bring the rematch to home soil as a thank-you to his fans. He now has a massive summer date is finally in front of him.

Fury vs Klitschko 2

Veteran Klitschko is hell-bent on gaining revenge in the bout. He has been preparing while Fury capitalized on his new status as the divisional king.

The 40-year-old will make a return to the UK for the first time since 2000.

Six years ago, the world title hopeful fought on London’s Lennox Lewis vs Frans Botha undercard. ‘Dr Steelhammer’ brutalized Monte Barret in seven rounds.

Barret hit the floor five times in the fight, but it still wasn’t enough to land Klitschko a shot at Lewis and his unified titles at the time.

Lewis would defend his belts in the US against David Tua. Meanwhile, Klitschko dethroned Chris Byrd for the WBO version in Germany three months later.
