Nathanael ‘Banks’ Wilson set for second pro bout on April 30

The 27 year-old, who is the estranged son on British boxing legend Chris Eubank, defeated Croatian also-ran Silvije Kebet over four rounds at York Hall on March 5 and will now return to the same stage.

Alec Wilkey-managed Wilson appears on Tommy Dove’s upcoming promotion at the famous London venue as ‘Banks’ attempts to carve out his own career path despite turning to the pro game late.

“I believe Nathanael is a great talent and obviously has fighting in his blood. I’m looking forward to him building on his debut success when he fights again on April 30,” Wilkey told World Boxing News.

“Nathanael will be kept active over the coming months and we are confident he will make his own name in boxing moving forward.”

Half-brother Chris Eubank Jr recently picked up the British middleweight title when stopping stricken Nick Blackwell in ten rounds at the SSE Arena and Wilson has much to live up to when it comes to his family heritage.

An interesting point to be made about Wilson is that the Croydon man campaigns in the same division as new pro star Conor Benn – son of Eubank’s arch-rival Nigel, meaning a future clash between the pair is a distinct and intriguing possibility.
