Tyson, who turns 50 this summer, dressed up as Rocky franchise baddie Clubber Lang on Tuesday for a sketch with on the US talk show, complete with trademark Mr. T wig and gold chains.
‘T’ played Lang in the third instalment of Rocky back in 1982, defeating title character Balboa before the hero eventually came back stronger to gain revenge under the guidance of friend and former opponent Apollo Creed.
It’s not the first time retired great Tyson has shown his willingness to entertain in a comic sense after roles in ‘The Hangover’ movies and ‘The Roast of…’ series screened on Comedy Central network.
IRON MIKE
‘Iron Mike’ also starred in a commercial with old foe Evander Holyfield sending up the famous ‘Bite Fight’ scene from their highly controversial 1997 rematch at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Holyfield lost a chunk of his ear in the incident, which saw Tyson given a lengthy ban from the sport, although the pair have since buried the hatchet and appeared in public together on numerous occasions.
