Otto Wallin pitted against Samir Kurtagic on December 19

The 24 year-old, who moved to 13-0 with a unanimous points victory over former Russian Champion Vladimir Goncharov in September, believes he is up to the challenge and is looking forward to returning to Nyköping for his second fight on Swedish soil.

‘’It’s not often that I come up against an opponent who is taller than me,’’ said the Swedish heavyweight. ‘’It will be a tough fight, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.

”Kurtagic has a lot of experience and has shared the ring with some top opponents, but I believe I have the better boxing skills, and if I stick to my game plan, I’m confident I have what it takes to beat him.’’

‘’Fighting Goncharov in Nyköping was an amazing experience and I’m eager to build on that success. Lots of fans travelled from Sundsvall to support me, so it really felt like I was fighting at home. To see them all there and hear them chanting my name gave me a big boost.’’

On December 19, Wallin will once again be counting on local support having organised a bus trip to shuttle fans from Sundsvall to Nyköping.

‘’We’ve got a bus bringing people from Sundsvall to Nyköping for the fight,’’ says Wallin. ‘’It will be leaving Sundsvall on Saturday morning and stopping at Hudiksvall, Söderhamn, Gävle and Stockholm to pick people up on the way.

”Everyone who came to my last fight had a great time, and I hope as many people as possible can come on December 19 to cheer me on to victory!’’

Local hero Erik Skoglund headlines the big Team Sauerland show in Nyköping against American KO star Derek Edwards, the only man to have beaten current Swedish World Champion Badou Jack. Tickets are available online via www.biljettforum.se or by calling (+46) 0771-130 150.
