Resting time is now well and truly over for Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez after his blitz defence of the WBC flyweight championship in defeating Mexican former world champion, Edgar Sosa in two torrid rounds.
The Nicaraguan, already a three-time world Champion, is back working hard in the gym even though he doesn’t yet know who his next rival is. It might just be Mexican former world champion Giovanni Segura as talks continue regarding the fight.
“What I can tell you is that it is very possible that Román fights again on a card along with Gennady Golovkin. It would take place in LA or Las Vegas. Segura is a possible rival, but there are also other options such as Brian Viloria,” commented Carlos Blandón, Roman´s manager.
