Drozd rules out Wlodarczyk return, open to Huck unification
World Boxing Council cruiserweight champion, the Russian Grigory Drozd said during an interview with “Constantine Ustyantseva” that a rematch against the man he defeated to become Champion, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, isn’t part of his current plans.
“Wlodarczyk had his chance to have that rematch, but he didn’t fight because he’s got his own reasons. In his place, I had to fight against Lukasz Janik. I will have a mandatory challenger in the future and if I am able to get the triumph I will keep looking for the top of the crop at cruiserweight” Drozd stressed.
“People believe that the most dangerous fighter in the division is Marco Huck, from Germany, but I’m pretty sure that I can defeat him. I am ready to fight anyone” The Champ confidently explained.
