Tomoki Kameda discusses Alejandro Hernandez defense on November 1

The 23 year-old, who has won all 30 of his professional bouts, will once again fight in the USA on the back of his impressive win over Pungluang Sor Singyu in July and says he had no hesitation in taking the fight in Chicago, Illinois.

“I entrusted everything to my agent Mr. Al Haymon about the purse bid for this fight and I would fight only on the date and in the place which was designated,” Kameda told World Boxing News.

“My opponent Hernandez has fought many fights outside his own country so that will not be a factor, I recognize that, but he has many weaknesses and I will show it on November 1. He is a fighter who is very experienced and has a lot of technique, but I am a champion and undefeated. I’ll prove I’m the best in the 118.”

On whether a unification could happen in the near future, Kameda added: “As I said, I will fight with anyone because I am a champion, but I concentrate on only the next fight now. After the Hernandez fight, I will leave it to my promoter to decide,” he said.

Kameda is fast gaining a reputation Stateside after taking care of business in his home country of Japan, and with Al Haymon on board, the sky is limit for the brother of fellow boxers Daiki and Koki.
