Pacquiao came in at his lightest in a couple of years as he scaled 145lbs, although Rios looked as if he struggled to make the 147lb limit, even though he came in a half pound under.
Considering Rios was attempting to make lightweight just 18 months ago, his physical appearance does have alarm bells ringing and I must say not for the first time in his career.
Hitting 146.5 and still looking unhealthy begs me to wonder what actually is the Californian’s correct fighting weight as Rios moves up and up and still seems to have some grumblings in camp surrounding his weight.
Even Pacquiao didn’t look in tip-top shape and as cut up as in past fights, as both eased through a low-key weigh-in ahead of Saturday night’s clash at the Cotai Arena.
