Towers set for Duhaupas defence in France

Undefeated Towers, 34, has seen two attempts to battle stablemate Lucas ‘Big Daddy’ Browne fall by the wayside in recent times and now looks set to concentrate on defending his lesser European belt in the late autumn.

32 year-old Duhaupas has lost just once in 30 contests to earn his chance, with his solitary defeat coming against Francesco Pianeta, who was stopped within six rounds in an attempt to dethrone Wladimir Klitschko earlier this year.

The 6ft 5ins bruiser may have a deceptive record on first viewing as Pianeta was far and away the best opponent Duhaupas has faced and it may only be the fact that the fight is away from home that will worry Towers.
