The giant pair were due to face-off on July 25th at the Melbourne Pavilion until Briton Towers was denied a visa, leaving Browne seething at missing out on the Commonwealth title eliminator.
This is not the first time a clash between Browne and Towers has fallen through and it now remains to be seen whether a third attempt to make the fight will surface later in the year.
“I’m pissed off hard that it’s happened again,” Browne told World Boxing News.
“I’m fuming that all my preparation for Towers will not go to use against him and I’m pissed off that the people looking after him didn’t go through all proper channels and doit correctly.
“I am still fighting, still fit as ever and will still show the Australian public how much I have learnt and what’s to come.”
