Victor Ortiz set to emulate Floyd Mayweather and take to the dancefloor
Former WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz has signed up for the 16th season of Dancing with the Stars, according to a report in the New York Daily News.
The 26 year-old has lost his last two bouts via stoppage, one of which came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather in September 2011, but the Californian is now set to follow in the outspoken champion’s footsteps next month.
Mayweather, 35, appeared on season 5 of the format where he eventually finished in ninth position when partnered by Karina Smirnoff and Oritz will certainly be looking to get one over on his former rival.
The next series of the popular show is set to begin on March 18 on the ABC network, with Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones another name in the frame to appear on the show.
