Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff remains undecided on boxing career

Ex-cricketer Andrew Flintoff has not yet made a decision on whether he will fight again and intends to evaluate the situation once he recovers from a shoulder injury.

The 35-year-old scored a four-round win on his professional boxing debut in November, suffered torn shoulder ligaments during his foray into pugilism.

He has so far been silent on whether he intends to step back between the ropes.

A close advisor to Flintoff revealed the news to WBN today.

Speculation continues to mount that the former England all-rounder may leave fighting behind for a return to his first love of cricket.

‘Freddie’ has plowed himself back into his TV work since his points victory over Richard Dawson at Manchester Arena. But has since received several challenges from celebrities and sportsmen alike.

The latest came from fellow-cricketer Jesse Ryder, who already has one bout behind him.

The New Zealand batsman seems unlikely to be given the chance to take on Flintoff in a UK clash.

The Lancashire legend is instead expected to announce his retirement from the sport in the near future and hang up his gloves with an undefeated record.
