On the back of world heavyweight championship contender Luis Ortiz being flagged by the WBC Clean Boxing Program, Bellew stated on social media the Cuban should face a life ban.
‘The Bomber’ then went one further by emailing the testers (presumably VADA) to put his point across and was duly given a wake up call of his own, as Bellew soon revealed.
“So I send an email to the drug testers yesterday telling them to ban cheats for life. There response? A knock on my door to test me at 6am,” said the Liverpool man.

Bellew is just getting back into full on training following the confirmation of his rematch with David Haye on December 17 and has always been an advocate for being harsh of those caught with adverse findings in their system.
Ortiz has failed on more than one occasion during his career, although some of those involved in the sport, including scheduled opponent and WBC ruler Deontay Wilder, still want the contest to go ahead on November 4.
The World Boxing Council are in the process of making an official ruling on the situation as it stands, whilst undertaking the 55th annual Convention in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Should Ortiz be thrown out, the likes of number one contender Bermane Stiverne, ex-title challenger Dillian Whyte and one-time heavyweight king Charles Martin are in contention to replace ‘The Real King Kong’ next month.
