Mayweather reveals McGregor poster for SHO PPV clash

Rumours surrounding a possible cross codes fight have been rife for more than a month now, although the general consensus has been that Mayweather v McGregor was simply a publicity stunt.

The 39 year-old has been out of action since a low-key victory over Andre Berto in September after announcing his short-lived retirement from the sport. The outspoken puncher has since registered ‘TMT 50’ and ‘TBE 50’ as trademarks for himself as Mayweather looks to make a fight with McGregor count towards his boxing record.

WBC President informed WBN in an exclusive interview last week that there would be no way to stop Mayweather from having a fight with McGregor added to his C.V, which would ultimately see the 49-0 legend push ahead of former heavyweight great Rocky Marciano to the magical 50 mark.

A McGregor fight could be heading to a date in September – if reports are to be believed – in an encounter that is set to earn both fighters nine-figures and see both sports come together once again.

In the past, the likes of James Toney and Ray Mercer dabbled in MMA, whilst this time around it’s expected to be one-time youth boxer McGregor who will be making the transition from octagon – to the squared circle.
