Boxing News: Rozicki vs Green / Kenia beats Roca

Three Lions Promotions present on September 30 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada a blockbuster, headlined by a twelve-round cruiserweight bout between former world title challenger Ryan “The Bruiser” Rozicki (18-1-0, 17 KOs) and reigning NABF champion Alante “Bam Bam” Green (10-1-1, 7 KOs).

Rozicki, ranked in the top 10 by the WBC, suffered his only loss against Oscar Rivas (28-1, 19 KOs) in October 2021 when he challenged for the vacant WBC bridgerweight title. Since then, Rozicki has won his last five fights, four of which were stopped before the end of the third round.

Green became NABF champion in November 2021 by defeating his compatriot, then-undefeated Taylor Duerr of Detroit by second-round TKO for the vacant title. Green has since moved up to heavyweight, where he suffered his lone split decision loss against highly ranked heavyweight George Arias (18-1, 7 Kos).

The card will have top Canadian prospects John Michael Bianco (5-0-0, 3KOs), Jake Daoust (5-1, 3KOs) and Antonio Napolitano (7-0-1, 3KOs) in separate fights. The card will also will have the highly anticipated showdown between Carolyn Redmond (6-1-0, 3Ks) against Jennifer Williams (2-0-0) over 6 rounds in the super welterweight division.

Kenia beats Roca

In a Mexican battle royale, Kenia Enríquez won the interim flyweight championship of the World Boxing Council, by defeating Ibeth ‘Roca’ Zamora by unanimous decision, this Sunday in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

In what was the main battle of the card presented by TM Boxing, led by Eric Ibarra, with the support of Imagen TV and Caliente.mx, the fighter originally from Tijuana, Baja California, Kenia Enríquez, intelligently used her jarring jab taking advantage of her long reach, marking up the face of the fighter from San Cristobal Huichochitlán, Ibeth Zamora, who ended the fight with her left eye almost closed.

Kenia showed the hunger and zest to win the world crown again, dominating the fight and at the end of the ten rounds, the Judges gave scores of 99-91, 100-90 and 99- 91.
