Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao to go one-on-one in The Philippines

Manny Pacquiao target Floyd Mayweather was unveiled as an ambassador for a cosmetic dermatology clinic at a press conference with Dr. Vicky Belo.

The former pound for pound king is set to make a tidy sum from promoting the brand during his visit to The Philippines.

Mayweather is in town, not only to make a few dollars. But also to meet up with old foe Pacquiao to discuss all manner of business.

One topic is sure to be Pacquiao’s availability for a high-profile rematch at some point in 2019.

The pair’s paths have crossed way too often of late. This has lead to firm speculation a second Pay-Per-View encounter will happen.

Not only is a battle to be mulled over on a sight-seeing excursion – fans can also watch Mayweather and Pacquiao go one-on-one at basketball.

Confirming the match-up, Belo stated: “In fact, he (Floyd Mayweather) is going to play basketball with Manny today,” before Mayweather replied: “Yeah, in Resorts World.”

The on-court collision comes just hours after Mayweather denied any formal negotiations had taken place with Pacquiao over a Las Vegas showdown.

“Rumors, rumors, Rumors. Mayweather v Pacquiao part two is not true. If you didn’t hear it on FightHype first, then it’s not true,” insisted Mayweather to fighthype.com.

The American may not be fooling anyone, though. Pacquiao already confirmed last month that talks had taken place and were ongoing.

Pacquiao is still lining up a fight with Keith Thurman as his number one back-up. Danny Garcia is a second alternative to Mayweather.

Coincidental greets and social posts over the last few months can certainly not be a waste of time. It’s fully expected there is method to the madness.

Dates in June or July are fast running out of time to be made official. All while Mayweather continues to keep the boxing world waiting on his every word.

‘MayPac 2’ would provide Mayweather with yet another nine-figure check. Pacquiao stands to make at least $50 million if the return makes it over the line.

Showtime PPV is already on board to televise. Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis would be the top choice for co-feature.
