The Plaza de Toros of Cancun, Quintana Roo, is the settling setting where WBC super featherweight Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt will defend his crown against wily and experienced southpaw Cristian “Diamante” Mijares on February 10th.
For both, it’ll be their second fight at the Plaza de Toros in Cancun, the city where “Alacrán” was born and to which he returns after six years, since his last fight in the same place, July 16. 2011. Back then he defeated Ricardo Hernández.
“Diamante” Mijares (58-8-2, 26 KOs) fought here on November 15, 2014, when he defeated to the Nicaraguan Lester Medrano to win the WBC International Silver featherweight title.
