Sugar Ray Leonard pulled no punches when asked for his opinion on a possible cross-codes clash between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.
Five-weight world title holder Mayweather is planning to come out of retirement to face UFC champion McGregor in the second half of 2017 and Leonard sees a fast ending to the fight should the latter step into the boxing domain.
Leonard also stated he thinks the fight will go ahead and that he plans to buy the Pay-Per-View, which is expected to cost $99.95 and be televised on Showtime.
In other news, McGregor had his dispute with the Nevada State Athletic Commission settled this week after accepting a drop in his punishment for a press conference incident down from $150,000 to $25,000.
‘The Notorious’ is now set to step us his efforts to gain a boxing license in the state of Nevada in order to meet Mayweather in Las Vegas, potentially at the T-Mobile Arena this September.
