Always committed to bringing the best of the best fights, Golden Boy Promotions will be featuring Super lightweight contender Art Hovanissyan (17-2-3, 9 KOs) as the main event scheduled to take on former two time world title challenger Diego “Mr. Superb” Magdaleno (28-2-0, 12 KOs) in a bout that’ll leave LA boxing fans on the edge of their seats. The updated ten round super lightweight clash will be replacing the previously announced bout featuring Fidel “The Atrisco Kid” Maldonado.
Also on the Estrella TV Boxeo Estelar telecast as the co-main event, Philadelphia’s Damon Allen (10-0, 4 KOs) will be facing a soon to be announced opponent in an eight round lightweight bout that will show off the young fighter’s growing talent in the ring, and continue to breed his LA fan base.
Kicking off the Estrella TV’s televised portion of the night, and the second female fight to ever take place at LA Fight Club, boxer Maricela Cornejo (4-2, 2 KOs) has been matched up against Eliza Olson (9-6-3, 2 KOs) in six rounds of super middleweight fury.
Additionally on the action-packed card, Quintana Roo, Mexico’s rising star Joseph “Diamante” Aguirre (14-0, 8 KOs) will fight in Los Angeles for the first time in a scheduled six-round lightweight fight against Roberto Carlos “Magnifico” Rivera (6-2, 5 KOs).
Local fan favorite representing Santa Monica, David Mijares (3-0, 2 KOs) will fight in a four-round super lightweight event against Jason Gavino (3-3, 2 KOs). Opening up the night, Olympic team contender Marvin Cabrera of Mexico City, Mexico will make his pro debut in a four-round middleweight bout against Jose Caro (0-3) of Tucson, Arizona.
