Donaire out of Quigg talks, Arum looks elsewhere

The mouth-watering Nonito Donaire vs Scott Quigg world super-bantamweight slugfest being eyed for Nov. 21 has gone down the drain.

A few weeks ago, Top Rank head Bob Arum was in high spirits after getting good vibes about staging Donaire’s shot at Quigg’s World Boxing Association 122-lb crown in Quigg’s hometown of Manchester, England.

But it seems that fight is already dead in the water after Arum stated that Quigg has priced himself out of the Donaire showdown.

As this developed, Donaire’s manager Cameron Dunkin has started to look elsewhere to make sure the Las Vegas-based Filipino puncher doesn’t end up wasting the remainder of the year waiting for a call to fight.
