“My health is the most important thing’ so I will retire. I won’t miss anything in boxing, because It’ll be very close,” said Mayweather.
“I could make a lot more money, but I want to talk and walk without health problems. My legacy will not be affected. I am retiring at the peak of my career and most importantly, with all my faculties intact,” said Floyd.
“Each and every one of my fights was very important to get to the point where I am right now. I’m very sure that I need to stay healthy the rest of my life.
“I’ve done a lot for the sport. Previously, the focus was on heavyweights but I worked hard, so that other divisions also have the attention they deserve. I’m now ready to be on the other side of the ring,” he concluded.
