Twenty official rings certified by the WBC scored the fight by tape. And In spite of there being an acknowledged and enormous difference of watching a fight live at ringside, as opposed to seeing it on TV, the results were unanimous and the conclusion was to declare the match a “No Contest” as the scorecards of two Judges are unacceptable.

Conclusions:
1. The World Boxing Council determines the fight as a “ No contest” and orders a direct rematch with the vacant WBC super flyweight title on the line.
2. Judges Herminio Cuevas and Abraham Ibarra are suspended two months. They will undergo training, evaluation and specific certification by the World Boxing Council Ring Officials Committee.
3. Supervisor Luis Medina is suspended two months and he will undergo training, evaluation and specific certification by the World Boxing Council Ring Officials Committee.
Boxing is a sport of subjective appreciation and the fight between Juarez and Taborda was the classic match between a boxer and a slugger. Taborda was the one who never stopped throwing punches, going forward while Juarez fought technically, boxing sidestepping and using lateral movement.
There were several close rounds, which were difficult to evaluate. The honesty, sincerity and honor of all participants on this card can not be questioned at all.
